On one hand the cross speaks of brokenness. It tells us that everything is not right. On the other hand it tells us that God has stepped into out brokenness and sin and made it right. In Jesus God has paid our debt of sin and cancelled our charge.
This forgiveness is complete! Nothing is left uncovered. Nothing is left undone.
Yes, it is in the light of the cross that we KNOW that God has forgiven us and claimed us for Himself.
