Our ministries are the embodiment of our participation in and pursuit of God's kingdom.
We seek in all parts of our lives to live faithfully as God's children bought together in Central Hawkes Bay. This includes loving and caring for the youngest, as well as the oldest amongst us. It includes ministering to parents and families. It includes gatherings small and large. It includes service to our community and mission to the world. We are called, we are equipped, and we are sent.
The act of worship is the response of our lives to God. We gather every Sunday across two services to exalt in our God, to grow in Him, and to support each other.
Our 9am service is slightly more traditional and slightly shorter in length.
Our 10:30am service is a bit more contemporary and includes a children's program during the school terms (see the link in the YOUTH section below) .
We also gather during the term on Wednesday mornings at 10am for a mid-week service which focuses on growing in God and growing together.
Talking with God is the most basic outworking of our faith in Him, but it is also the most powerful! While we might be small when we pray we commune with the Creator of all things!
We offer prayer after our Sunday services, throughout the week in our small groups, we have a regular prayer meeting on Wednesday mornings at 7am, a prayer chain runs, and we love to see people coming into the church to pray or receive prayer throughout the week.
We are people on a mission. We are called to love others and to make disciples. This starts in our backyard. It includes our families, our schools, and our workplaces, but it extends to the ends of the earth. We believe all the earth belongs to the Lord and He claims people of every language and tribe for Himself. We support missions work beyond New Zealand by partnering with different individuals, families and organisations that fulfill this work.
Love starts at home and as God's family we have a responsibility to care for each other. To do this we need time together. This largely happens in small groups which meet throughout the week. These meet on different days and in different places, but the focus is the same - being Christ to each other.
Check our the foyer in the church for a list of the different groups and when they meet.
St Andrews partners with Epic Ministries to provide youth programs for Children and Youth in Central Hawkes Bay.
The Epic vision is to see a generation of young people empowered to reach their maximum potential physically, socially, emotionally and spiritually so they can be contributors to a healthy community.
The EPICentre can be found on the corner of St Andrews Street and Church Lane Waipukurau and is the base for creating youth initiatives and resources, working with youth and giving youth a space.
Epics youth workers want to offer more than just fun; they want youth to realise their true potential, live their life with purpose, experience community and build positive memories.
