OUR MINISTRIES
Our ministries are the embodiment of our participation in and pursuit of God's kingdom.
We seek in all parts of our lives to live faithfully as God's children bought together in Central Hawkes Bay. This includes loving and caring for the youngest, as well as the oldest amongst us. It includes ministering to parents and families. It includes gatherings small and large. It includes service to our community and mission to the world. We are called, we are equipped, and we are sent.

Worship
The act of worship is the only right response to God for what He has done in our lives. He has saved us for Himself! When we gather we acknowledge that this is true for us all. We encourage each other and spur each other on. We testify to God's greatness and goodness, and we minister to each other.
Our Sunday service begins at 9:30am, but we encourage all to come early to chat and to pray before the service.
Included in this time is a children's program, which runs during the school term. Check out the CHILDREN'S MINISTRIES sub section.
Prayer
Talking with God is the most basic outworking of our faith in Him, but it is also the most powerful! While we might be small when we pray we commune with the Creator of all things! Imagine the possibilities!!!
We encourage prayer in every situation, but are intentional about doing this before our Sunday service - please come early to pray. We have someone available for prayer after every service, so please ask. We pray in our small groups. We pray in our families. We gather specifically for prayer on Wednesday mornings at 7am each week. We also have a prayer chain in the church and someone is generally available for prayer in the church office throughout the week.

Missions
We are people on a mission. We are called to love others and to make disciples. This starts in our backyard. It includes our families, our schools, and our workplaces, but it extends to the ends of the earth. We believe all the earth belongs to the Lord and He claims people of every language and tribe for Himself. We support missions work beyond New Zealand by partnering with different individuals, families and organisations that fulfill this work.
Small Groups
Love starts at home and as God's family we have a responsibility to care for each other. To do this we need time together. This largely happens in small groups which meet throughout the week. These meet on different days and in different places, but the focus is the same - being Christ to each other.
Check our the foyer in the church for a list of the different groups and when they meet.
College Ministry
Kids Rock
Kids Rock is St Andrews Sunday school program for children aged 5-12. Like Little Sparks, it is runs throughout the school term with the aim of introducing our older children to Jesus and discipling them in their faith. This program aims to support parents and whanau in their God given duty.
We focus on introducing Jesus. Introducing the bible. Experiencing what God’s church is. Having fun together and a whole lot more.
Kids Rock Junior
Focuses on children aged 2-5. Younger children are welcome to join in with a parent or care-giver. This is a time where these young children can learn about Jesus and His incredible love for them as they experience what His family is like.
This time together often involves crafts, a bible story, playing together and morning tea. All of our children join us for the start of the church service so that they experience the unity and inclusion of God’s people. After some singing and a kids talk they head out for their time together in the church hall. Please follow along if you are interested in checking them out and make yourself known.
Youth
St Andrews partners with Epic Ministries to provide youth programs for Children and Youth in Central Hawkes Bay.
The Epic vision is to see a generation of young people empowered to reach their maximum potential physically, socially, emotionally and spiritually so they can be contributors to a healthy community.
The EPICentre can be found on the corner of St Andrews Street and Church Lane Waipukurau and is the base for creating youth initiatives and resources, working with youth and giving youth a space.
Epics youth workers want to offer more than just fun; they want youth to realise their true potential, live their life with purpose, experience community and build positive memories.
